In case of problems sending the entry form online you can download
the entry form directly from the One World website. (In case of
problems downloading the entry form, just right click on the link and
choose Save target as.) In such case mail us printed version together with DVD or VHS preview copy. Online entryform is sufficient and does not need to be resent with the tape.

Submission guidelines
- One World is open to filmmakers from all over the world. In
selecting films, organizers will concentrate equally on both artistic
merit and human rights content. The festival accepts documentary films
of all lengths and also short animated films (up to 30 min.).
- Films and videos may be submitted for the international competition
by filmmakers, producers, distributors or legal entities.
- Only documentary films and video programs not entered in previous
One World festivals and produced in last two years will be considered
for the competition.
- Participation in other festivals does not preclude participation in
One World.
- Entry form must be filled online or sent to the festival
office before November 30th 2007, along with a DVD or VHS preview copy of the
submission..

- The selection committee will inform applicants of its decision no
later than February 2008.
- Entry form data from all selected films are processed and presented
on the One World database at: http://www.oneworld.cz/. Please fill in precise
information in the entry form to avoid mistakes in the database and
catalogue.
- Preview DVD and VHS will be kept in the Festival archives.
- One World 2008 will take place in Prague, Czech Republic, March 5th - 13th 2008.
Rules and regulations:
- Presentation formats: 35mm, 16mm, Betacam PAL, DVcam, DVD
.
One World is not able to screen Digi Beta or NTSC formats.
- Applicants of selected documentaries are obliged to provide
festival organizers with the following: a short synopsis of their film,
complete commentary (dialogue list) in English, one still photo of the
film director, at least one still photo in print quality (minimum 300
dpi) from the film and a poster of the film. The organizers would also
appreciate any other promotional material applicants might have at their
disposal.
- The festival covers the transport costs for selected films and
videos (however, only for those transported by the official festival
courier). The organizer does not cover the transport costs of DVD and VHS tapes
submitted for selection.
- The organizers are liable for video cassettes and film prints from
the day of their arrival in Prague to the day they are returned. In the
event of damage, the Festival is responsible for reimbursing the value
of the print / cassette.
- During the Festival, all submitted films will be available for
viewing on an optional basis at the festival video library.
- Film prints and videos (Betacam cassettes) will be sent back two
weeks after the end of the festival to the destination required by the
producer / distributor.
- Participants agree that if they once accept to be screened at the
One World festival they will not withdraw their film from the program.
- Participants agree to give the Festival the copyrights for photos
and excerpts (3 min. at most) of their film for release to the media and
Internet (press and TV) for promotional purposes.
- Participants agree that the festival organizer will translate their
documentary into the Czech language and create a Czech subtitled version
for festival purposes. Participants agree that the festival organizer
may use the Czech subtitled version of their documentary for non-profit
use (e.g. educational screenings at schools).
- Completion and signature of the entry form indicates the applicant's
consent to the festival rules and regulations.

SUBMISSION PROCEDURE
Please fill in all requered information. Only completed
entry forms will be accepted.

Submissions will
only be accepted when both the application and tape have been received by
One World.
